Job summary

Josh Pros LLC seeks a Fire Protection Engineer in Fort Collins, CO to design life-safety systems for healthcare facilities. The role emphasizes field engineering, code compliance with NFPA standards, and collaboration with architects and engineers to achieve integrated building design.

The engineer will lead system design, perform critical analyses, and develop construction documents while mentoring junior staff. This is an in-office role with flexibility.

Qualifications

• PE license (Licensed Professional Engineer)
• FPE license (Fire Protection Engineering)
• NCEES registration required
• 8+ years healthcare project experience
• US citizenship or federal contractor status

Responsibilities

• Lead design of fire protection and plumbing systems incl. sprinkler layouts and piping
• Perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis and equipment selections
• Develop detailed construction documents and specifications
• Ensure NFPA 13/20/99, ASHRAE and IBC code compliance
• Conduct field investigations and site inspections
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with architects and clients
