Job summary

Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to implement the CPCCo Fire Protection Program, perform inspections, and develop critical fire safety analyses for facilities on the Hanford site.

The role requires a engineering or scientific degree with relevant experience and familiarity with DOE Orders/Standards. The position offers a professional growth path and an emphasis on safety and mission impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience (Grade 16).
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years (Grade 17) or 6+ years (Grade 18) for higher levels.
• Experience implementing fire protection programs including inspections, analysis, and documentation.
• Knowledge of DOE Orders/Standards and professional fire protection practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement the CPCCo Fire Protection Program (FPP) through inspections, assessments, design and reviews.
• Develop and maintain Fire Hazards Analysis and Facility Fire Protection Assessments.
• Support FPP through programmatic assessments and procedure reviews.
• Process exemptions, variances, or equivalency evaluations from fire protection standards.
• Support safety culture and protect workers, property, and environment.
• Provide fire protection system maintenance oversight and reviews.
