Job summary

WA River Protection Solutions seeks a Fire Protection Field Engineer to ensure compliance with fire-related DOE requirements, NFPA codes, and other applicable standards. You will oversee feedback to the service provider and engage with the Hanford Fire Marshal and DOE Fire Protection AHJ.

The role includes preparing assessments, reports, designs, and procedures, with collaboration across levels of the organization to safeguard operations at the Hanford site.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection engineering within a DOE or regulated environment.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards as applied to facilities.
• Ability to develop assessments, reports, designs, and procedures.

The FPFE advises on compliance with fire related Department of Energy (DOE) requirements, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards, and other applicable requirements. The FPFE oversees and provides feedback to the service provider, interacts with all levels of employees and management including the Hanford Fire Marshal and the DOE Fire Protection AHJ, prepares and comments on assessments, reports, design, and procedures.
