Job summary

Idaho Environmental Coalition, LLC is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to advance from technician to licensed engineer, overseeing the Fire Protection Program across WM-INTEC facilities. The role includes inspecting fire protection systems, developing permits, and guiding project teams on safety compliance with DOE orders.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering, at least four years of engineering practice with fire protection, and NICET Level III in relevant systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering required or in progress.
• Minimum 4 years of engineering practice with fire protection, including at least one year in responsible charge.
• NICET Level III in Fire Alarm Systems or Water-Based Systems Layout preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required due to DOE Idaho National Laboratory site.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and mitigate fire protection and safety hazards.
• Oversee the Fire Protection Technician’s inspections and manage fire protection program documents.
• Review facility drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with fire protection requirements.
• Provide professional leadership and direction to project teams and ISMS/VPP initiatives.
