OLA Consulting Engineers, PC in New York seeks a Fire Protection Engineer with 5–8 years of U.S. consulting experience to design water-based and non-water-based systems, perform hydraulic calculations, and conduct building code reviews.

You will coordinate with NYC and Westchester offices, produce contract documents, manage junior engineers, provide construction administration, and maintain strong communication with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering.
• 5–8 years of US consulting experience.
• Familiarity with NYS and NYC codes as well as IBC.
• PE preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience in fire protection sprinkler and standpipe design with hydraulic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Field investigation, analysis, and design for projects.
• Produce contract documents including floor plans and specs.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers.
• Provide construction administration and project management.
• Coordinate with NYC and Westchester offices; communicate with clients and contractors.
