Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to ensure structural integrity and safety during fire events, designing systems like sprinklers and alarms, and ensuring building code compliance.

You will produce detailed drawings and coordinate with internal teams to support project success, while integrating into a highly technical environment to deliver high-quality work. This role also involves evacuation planning and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering or a closely related field is required.
• 1-3 years of fire protection design experience.
• E.I.T. certification preferred but not required.
• PE certification or active pursuit of licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produces highly detailed, coordinated construction drawings across all disciplines.
• Coordinates with internal team members to support project success.
• Integrates into a highly technical team & consistently delivers high-quality work.
• Designs compliant & effective fire protection systems & fire alarm systems.
• Assists with submittal reviews, RFIs, & construction-phase documentation.

Job Summary

The Fire Protection Engineer is responsible for ensuring structural integrity & safety during fire events, utilizing science & engineering principles to protect people, property, & businesses from fire & smoke. This role involves analyzing fire risks to design specialized systems like sprinklers & alarms, ensuring building code compliance, & developing evacuation plans.

• Produces highly detailed, coordinated construction drawings across all disciplines

Required Skills/Abilities

Education & Experience

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
