Job summary

Responsibilities

• Designs compliant & effective fire protection systems & fire alarm systems.
• Assists with submittal reviews, RFIs, & construction-phase documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer

Reports to: Principal

Job Summary: The Fire Protection Engineer is responsible for ensuring structural integrity & safety during fire events, utilizing science & engineering principles to protect people, property, & businesses from fire & smoke. This role involves analyzing fire risks to design specialized systems like sprinklers & alarms, ensuring building code compliance, & developing evacuation plans.

Education & Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer


• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times


• Ability to travel and move throughout construction sites intermittently as required by project needs.
