Job summary

HFA, an employee-owned multidisciplinary firm, seeks a Fire Protection Designer II to design fire sprinkler, alarm, and underground systems for commercial/industrial projects. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and design teams to deliver code-compliant solutions from design through construction administration.

Qualifications

• BSME, BS Fire Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing fire protection systems on commercial/industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Fire Protection Engineer to deliver construction documents and assist in construction administration.
• Independently develop and draft construction documents for most project types; solve design challenges.
• Apply knowledge to simple projects with minimal oversight; proficiency in HydraCad and energy codes.
• Design and draft fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and underground piping systems with riser diagrams.
