Job summary

Hill Fire Protection, a division of Hill Group, seeks a Designer to support sprinkler projects across Chicagoland and Indiana. You will work with Project Management, Estimation and Sales to help achieve department goals.

You will produce accurate design drawings for installation, design systems per codes, and coordinate surveys, hydraulic calculations, BIM work, and permits using HydraTech, AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Fire Design experience
• Experience designing various fire protection systems
• NICET certification and engineering degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Hill Group policies and procedures
• Produces accurate design drawings for installation and submittal
• Designs and drafts fire protection systems per codes
• Coordinates with Sales, PM, and Estimation on project delivery
• Performs field surveys, hydraulic calculations, BIM coordination, and permits submission
• Reviews specifications to understand scope of work
• Keeps organized records of active projects
• Supports project coordination and change management
