Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in fire protection or related field.
• NICET Level III or higher credentials.
• EI/PE credentials in Fire Protection Engineering preferred.
• Experience designing fire sprinkler systems for MEP projects.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire life safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with client and design team to ensure a fully coordinated design.
• Create fire protection construction documents with drawings, specs, and reports using AutoCAD.
• Design fire protection systems including devices, equipment, and specs.
• Prepare fire alarm device layouts and riser diagrams.
• Provide construction administration (RFI responses) and mentor colleagues.
