Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to plan and design fire protection systems for diverse projects. You will create layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD, perform hydraulic calculations, and compile pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

The role includes BIM modeling and field surveys to ensure accurate as-built data. The position requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, with preferred NICET certification and prior fire protection design experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire Protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCAD and/or Hydratec experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Regular attendance and willingness to work extended hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout Fire Sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.
• Provide Fire Sprinkler designs using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK.
• Perform BIM modeling and field surveying.
• Coordinate fabrication lists and cross-trade coordination.
• Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and project success.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Northstar is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer who will design Fire Protection Systems for all types of projects. You will design layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
• Write, plan, coordinate, and make presentations to individuals and groups
• Work with and comprehend mathematical concepts including hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
• Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK
• Responsible for BIM modeling and field surveying
• Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate between the trades
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Fire Protection design experience preferred
• NICET certification preferred
• AutoCad experience and/or Hydratec Experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
• Excellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skills
