Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a related engineering degree with 7 years in fire protection.
- Demonstrated understanding of passive fire protection barriers, sprinkler systems, and fire alarm systems; strong design review capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform fire protection design reviews for new buildings and major renovations.
- Evaluate design and layout of passive fire protection and water-based systems.
- Review hydraulic calculations, device spacing, and equipment sizing.
- Assess integration with HVAC, electrical, and other building systems.
- Identify design non-conformances and provide practical solutions.
- Develop or review commissioning/test plans and witness tests.
- Document results and track corrective actions to closure.
