Salt Lake City Corporation seeks a Fire Prevention Supervisor to lead fire inspection, investigation, and prevention programs within the Fire Department. You will guide life safety initiatives, ensure code compliance, and supervise prevention staff to uphold community safety standards.

The role requires expertise in modern fire prevention methods, strong leadership, and the ability to manage program budgets while coordinating with developers, contractors, and community groups.

Qualificações

• Associate degree or equivalent in Fire Science, Fire Protection Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Five years of progressive experience in fire prevention, including inspection, investigation, and code enforcement.
• ICC Fire Inspector I certification is required.
• Advanced knowledge of modern fire prevention principles, investigation techniques, and protection systems.
• Must maintain required professional certifications and pass background checks.

Responsabilidades

• Leads and directs fire prevention programs with full accountability for outcomes.
• Supervises and develops assigned personnel.
• Develops and implements community risk reduction strategies with measurable goals.
• Manages budget planning and resource allocation for fire prevention activities.
• Serves as technical authority on fire protection regulations and code compliance.
• Reviews construction plans for code compliance and conducts complex inspections of existing structures.
• Recommends code Adoptions and policy updates, and manages permit issuance and compliance strategies.
• Builds partnerships with stakeholders and professional organizations; liaises with developers, contractors, and community groups.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
