Who's On the Move seeks a Division Chief to oversee the Division of Fire and Life Safety and report to the Assistant Fire Chief. The role coordinates Fire Prevention, Public Education, Code Enforcement, and Fire Investigations.

The position requires initiative, resourcefulness, and strong judgment to adapt procedures within department policies. Expect a 40-hour work week with office work, plus occasional exposure to heat, dirt, and safety precautions.

Qualifications

• Valid SC Driver’s License.
• SC Resident State Fire Marshal certification.
• NFPA Fire Inspector I certification.
• Six-month probationary period for new career employees.

Responsabilités

• Supervise the Division of Fire and Life Safety.
• Coordinate programs in Fire Prevention, Public Education, Code Enforcement and Fire Investigations.
• Work within department policies and planned goals and procedures.
• Maintain safety practices while performing duties in an office environment with exposure risks.
