Job summary
Convergint is seeking a full-time Fire Service Technician to join a dynamic team dedicated to protecting lives and assets through fire alarm and life safety systems. You will perform service, repair, testing, and commissioning of equipment with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Local travel to jobsites is required, with minimal overnight travel. The role emphasizes hands-on installation, programming, and troubleshooting, reading schematics, and collaborating with engineering
Qualifications
- Experience with fire alarm systems and life safety equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Own onsite projects with safety, quality, and performance as priorities.
- Install, program, test, and service fire alarm and life safety systems as directed.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine installation procedures.
- Coordinate with engineering staff to resolve unusual problems in operation and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and safety policies.
