Job summary

CertaSite, a fast growing fire protection and life safety company, seeks an entry-level Route Sales & Service Apprentice Technician. You will learn inspection, testing, service and repair of extinguishers, emergency lights, and life safety products while building strong customer relationships.

The role offers hands-on training, exposure to sales opportunities, and room to grow as you gain expertise. A valid US driver’s license is required; some locations may involve overtime and travel.

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position.
• Must possess the ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Must understand and operate basic computer functions and software such as Windows, Word, Apple iOS, Android and Outlook; learn industry-specific devices and software.
• Must currently have a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Learn inspection, testing, service and repair of fire extinguishers, emergency lights and life safety products.
• Troubleshoot and service equipment and document work.
• Record inspections, repairs, discrepancies and recommendations electronically or manually.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and relay information for quotes or questions.
• Spend time with shop technicians learning how to recharge extinguishers and stock trucks.
• Keep equipment and tools safe and ready for use.
