CertaSite is a fast-growing fire protection and life safety company in Grand Rapids, MI, seeking an entry-level Route Sales & Service Apprentice Technician. You will learn to inspect, test, service, and repair extinguishers, exit/emergency lights, and life-safety products while building strong customer relationships.

Ideal candidates have basic math and computer skills, a valid U.S. driver's license, and the willingness to train on industry devices and software.

Qualifications

• Entry level role with on-the-job training.
• Ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Must understand and operate basic computer functions and software (Windows, Word, iOS, Android, Outlook).
• Must currently have a valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Learn to inspect, test, service, and repair fire extinguishers, exit/emergency lights, and life safety products.
• Troubleshoot and repair life safety equipment and perform service tasks.
• Record and document inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and relay information to team for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns.
• Spend time with shop technicians learning about extinguisher recharge and stock management.
• Maintain tools and equipment for safe job performance.
• Evaluate customer sites for additional equipment or services.
