Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a part-time Fire Life Safety Inspector to inspect fire prevention and emergency systems with emphasis on readiness and risk reduction. You will patrol a dynamic manufacturing site, maintaining a visible security presence to support a safe environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and reliability in a fast-paced workplace.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Certified and trained to national standards as a Fire Inspector based on plant and legal requirements.
• FEMA Certification ISO700.b, ISO100.c
• Possess 5 years of industrial security-related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department service.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspection and maintenance records for fire protection equipment comply with customer and regulatory standards.
• Audit fire prevention and other safety programs.
• Complete scheduled fire service inspections as assigned by the Fire/Life Safety Coordinator.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:
