Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Fire Investigator. The Fire Investigator will be responsible for conducting investigations to determine the origin and cause of fires, explosions, and related incidents. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and analyzing evidence, documenting scenes, preparing detailed reports, and providing expert testimony when required. The investigator will work closely with clients, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure thorough and accurate investigations.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Forensic Analysis and Fire Investigation
• Skills in Arson Investigation and Fire Service
• Experience with Evidence collection and analysis
• IAAI and NAFI certifications (e.g., CFI, CFEI, CVFI, CFII)
• Knowledge of NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033 standards
• Proficiency with investigation technology (e.g., 3D walkthroughs, video equipment, drones)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Forensic Science, or related field is a plus
