Qualifications

• All applicants must possess or prequalify for a NC Fire Inspector Certification Level I or Probationary Level II.
• Level III certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections and plans examinations to ensure compliance with the NC Fire Code.
• Verify maintenance of fire protection equipment and enforce occupancy requirements.
• Prepare written warnings, reference violations to other agencies, and initiate actions to achieve code compliance.
