Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain a current State of Florida Firesafety Inspector I certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspects buildings and occupancies for fire hazards.
• Performs plan review of new construction and inspections of new construction/additions.
• Submits inspection reports to Fire Chief and maintains electronic records.
• Interprets fire codes for contractors, architects, engineers and the public.
• Represents the city on enforcement of the Florida Fire Prevention Code.
