Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspects buildings to locate hazardous conditions and fire code violations.
• Identifies corrective actions to bring properties into compliance with fire codes and explains measures.
• Inspects and tests fire protection or fire detection systems for compliance with laws and standards.
• Conducts fire code compliance follow-ups to ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Writes detailed reports of inspections, violations, and recommendations.
• Attends training classes to maintain knowledge of fire prevention and safety practices.
• Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.
