Job summary

Viking Fire Protection Group in Omaha, NE is seeking a Fire Protection Inspector to test and inspect fire and life safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, backflow preventers and related equipment. The Inspector will prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation of improvements and deficiencies, and may assist in identifying opportunities to expand VFPG services.

• Trade experience preferred; at least 2 years' trade experience a plus.
• Valid state Driver’s License required.
• NICET Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire and life safety systems (alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, backflow, special hazards).
• Provide accurate inspection reports with documentation of improvements and deficiencies.
• Assist in selling VFPG services for any identified deficiencies.

Viking Fire Protection Group is searching for a qualified individual to join our team in Omaha, NE as a Fire Protection Inspector.The Fire Protection Inspector is responsible for testing and inspection of fire and life safety systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire extinguishers, backflow preventers and special hazards fire protection systems. The Inspector will provide accurate and detailed inspections reports with all proper documentation of improvements and complications and assist in selling VFPG services for any identified deficiencies.

Job Qualifications

• Mechanical & math aptitude
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in the fire protection industry preferred
