Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associates degree preferred.
• CDL Class B license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Basic Firefighter certification; NIMS certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NFIRS knowledge.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and directs daily operations of the Fire Maintenance Division.
• Oversees maintenance programs for fire facilities, vehicles, and equipment.
• Administers department budget within Public Works guidelines.
• Coordinates with vendors and outside contractors for repairs.
• Conducts training for new personnel and safety briefings.
• Maintains records of maintenance, inventory, and NFIRS reporting.
• Participates in hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
• Responds to emergencies and supports department operations as needed.
