Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in fire protection preferred.
• Certification as a Fire Extinguisher Technician (e.g., NFPA 10, NAFED) strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in extinguisher inspection, maintenance, and repair desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire extinguishers for compliance with codes and standards.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble extinguishers for maintenance.
• Inspect and replace parts such as valves, hoses, nozzles, and seals.
• Recharge extinguishers and pressurize to required levels.
• Install/maintain brackets, signage, and safety equipment.
• Provide on-site training to customers on use and maintenance.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records in Service Trade platform.
• Assist with inventory management of extinguishers and components.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinators to optimize routes and scheduling.
