Job summary

Industrial-Welding-Supply-Co-of-Har in Harvey, LA is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect, service, and document portable extinguishers at customer locations and in-house. You will obtain NFPA certification and learn our inspection software and Google Workspace.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain NFPA Fire Extinguisher Technician certification.
• Inspect, maintain, service, and document portable fire extinguishers at customer locations and in-house.
• Learn and become proficient with our fire extinguisher management/inspection software and Google Workspace.
• Provide professional, courteous, and effective communication with customers and coworkers.
• Complete accurate documentation of customer services.
• Safely operate a forklift and other equipment as required.
• Properly break down and dispose of condemned fire extinguisher cylinders in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Assist fellow team members with service and fieldwork.
• Maintain an organized service schedule and necessary supplies in the company work truck.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
