Job summary

Advanced Fire Protection Services, Inc. is seeking a Level 1 Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join our Fort Walton Beach team.

This full-time role focuses on field service, inspecting, repairing, and installing fire extinguishers while building hands-on industry experience. You will work under experienced technicians, schedule service activities, and complete documentation in line with manufacturer requirements and NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, repair, maintain, and install various types of fire extinguishers.
• Perform service work safely and efficiently under supervision.
• Visit customer locations and provide professional, courteous service.
• Plan and schedule service activities and keep customers informed of job status.
• Complete service orders and inspection records accurately.
• Respond to manufacturer requirements and NFPA standards during service.

No two days are exactly alike. You'll work in the field servicing, inspecting, repairing, and installing fire extinguishers while building valuable industry experience.

What You'll Do

• Inspect, service, repair, maintain, and install various types of fire extinguishers.
• Perform service work safely and efficiently under the direction of experienced technicians.
• Visit customer locations and provide professional, courteous service.
• Plan and schedule service activities and keep customers and team members informed of job status.
• Complete service orders, inspection records, and follow-up documentation.
• Service equipment according to manufacturer requirements, applicable laws, and NFPA standards..

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet company automobile insurance requirements.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
• Basic math skills, including tax calculations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
• Customer service or sales training/experience is a plus.
