Job summary

Grunau Fire is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our Milwaukee, WI team. You will inspect, test, and service extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes, with cross-training in alarms and sprinklers.

This role includes cross-training in fire alarm and fire sprinkler inspections and offers great career opportunities.

Target pay for this role is $18-25/hr, depending on experience

Day to Day

• Inspect, test, maintain, and service fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes.

Experience Needed

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous fire extinguisher inspection, testing, maintenance, or service experience preferred.
• Experience with NFPA 10 requirements and portable fire extinguisher regulations is a plus.
• Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
• General computer and tablet proficiency.
• A commitment to safety, integrity, accountability, and quality workmanship.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, using lifts, and navigating stairs.
• Ability to work throughout the day in commercial, industrial, and residential environments.
