Century Fire Protection is seeking a field technician in Jacksonville, FL to inspect, service, and install portable extinguishers per NFPA 10 and local codes. You will recharge, repair, and replace units, install new equipment, and document findings for customers.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–3 years of extinguisher service experience, with preferred certification or the ability to obtain it. OSHA safety policies apply, with on-site fieldwork and potential on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain, and install portable fire extinguishers per NFPA 10.
• Recharge, repair, and replace extinguishers as required.
• Install new extinguishers, cabinets, signage, and mounting hardware.
• Identify and document deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Complete inspection tags, reports, and electronic documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate with customers regarding compliance status and service needs.
• Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Support emergency or on-call service requests as needed.
