Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security seeks a Fire Extinguisher & Kitchen Hood Inspection Technician to join our El Paso team. The role covers inspecting, testing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining extinguishers and kitchen hood systems in compliance with Texas state regulations and NFPA standards.

Ideal candidates hold Texas licensing/certifications to perform inspections and servicing, with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer communication. Full-time position with potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Licensing to perform fire extinguisher and kitchen hood inspections preferred or obtainable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, and maintain portable fire extinguishers per NFPA 10 and Texas rules.
• Inspect and service commercial kitchen hood suppression systems per NFPA 17A/96 and TX regs.
• Document findings, repairs, and recommendations using company software.
• Coordinate scheduling with dispatch and management.
• Respond to service calls, ensure safety and compliance.
