Job summary

State Fire is hiring a Fire Extinguisher/Hood Suppression Technician in Sparks, NV. We provide full training and opportunities to cross-train into sprinkler systems. You will inspect and service kitchen fire suppression systems, test extinguishers, and maintain emergency lighting while building relationships with customers.

Starting wage is $22 per hour, with $24 per hour if licensed in fire extinguishers. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Strong English communication, written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Willingness to travel overnight and work occasional overtime.
• Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
• Perform annual testing and maintenance of fire extinguishers.
• Inspect and maintain emergency and exit lighting.
• Complete inspection reports using a company-provided iPad.
• Service existing clientele and build new relationships to grow the customer base.
