Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational or technical Fire Science training.
• Two years as Firefighter II with three years inventory experience.
• Knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, heating, mechanical maintenance and repair work relevant to fire equipment.

Responsibilities

• Orders and evaluates department equipment and supplies with vendors and quotes.
• Maintains uniforms, gear, PPE, and department equipment; tracks and issues items.
• Coordinates uniform and fitted gear needs with staff; maintains records.
• Tests and performs minor repairs on gear; arranges repairs with vendors.
• Maintains inventory counts; prepares reports and adjusts records as needed.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
