The role supports senior engineers, collaborates with architects and contractors, and may involve site visits and fire safety analyses.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting for life safety, building, and fire code compliance.
• Contribute to the development of prescriptive and performance-based design strategies.
• Assist senior engineers to help clients incorporate fire and life safety concepts into design and review drawings for conformance.
• Assist with development of fire alarm, detection, and fire suppression system design documents.
• Assist senior engineers on project site visits and communicate with architects, contractors and consulting teams.
• Participate in internal team meetings and external client meetings.
• Adapt to working with multiple teams across multiple offices in a multi-discipline environment.
• Perform smoke control analysis.
• Assist with fire modeling.
• Assist with dynamic egress modeling.
• Assist with the development of structural fire calculations.
• Assist with the development of fire safety strategies for special hazards.

Los Angeles Hiring Range – Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $22.00 - $43.50 per hour. This range is commesurate with experience, education background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles will differ.

San Francisco Hiring Range – Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco is $24.50 to $47.50 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco will differ
