Job summary

Matheny Motors in Ocala, FL is seeking a Fire & Emergency Parts Specialist to provide expert knowledge of commercial truck parts and accessories. You will answer customer questions in person, by email, or by phone, locate parts from inventory or vendors, and arrange pickup, delivery, or installation.

You will monitor inventory, communicate order status, and deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities include updating customers on promotions, stocking the retail zone, processing payments

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor parts inventory and report discrepancies to Parts Manager.
  • Update customers on promotions and new products.
  • Monitor retail zone and replenish stocking levels.
  • Maintain professional appearance of the retail zone.
  • Greet walk-in customers and acknowledge them.
  • Assist customers with pickup of heavy or oversized items.
  • Collect payment for special order parts prior to ordering.
  • Advise customers on warranty of products.
  • Record lost sales when demand cannot be filled.
  • Inform customers about back orders or delays.
  • Ensure customer accounts are invoiced accurately.
  • Attend department meetings on time.
  • Locate parts and accessories and arrange pickup/delivery/installation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicles, accessories and promotions.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area.
  • Monitor parts inventory and storage area.
  • Manage part ordering for warranty claims and road techs.
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and heavy-duty chassis.
  • Familiar with warranty parts replacement and vendor systems.
  • Data/record keeping skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Fire & Emergency Parts Specialist has a broad knowledge of commercial truck parts and accessories. He or she can accurately answer customer questions and satisfy any customer requirements in person, through email or on the phone. In addition, he or she would locate commercial truck parts within the current inventory or from other sources online or through vendors or internal dealerships and arrange them for pickup, delivery and or installation. He or she will also be responsible for monitoring parts inventory to ensure that what is needed is on hand. In addition, he or she will be responsible for communicating with customers regarding the status of their orders, and any other issues or questions they might ask.
