• Collects payment for special order parts prior to ordering.
• Advises customers on product warranties.
• Communicates order status and any delays to customers.
• Locates parts and accessories for pickup, delivery, or installation.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of vehicles, accessories, and promotions.
• Maintains organized personal work area and storage area.
• Attends department meetings and huddles.

Position Summary:

The Commercial Parts Specialist has a broad knowledgeofcommercial truck parts andaccessories. He or she can accurately answercustomer questions and satisfy any customer requirements in person, through email or on the phone. Inaddition,he or she would locate commercial truck parts within the current inventoryor from other sources online orthroughvendors or internal dealerships and arrange them for pickup,deliveryand or installation. He or she will also be responsible for monitoring parts inventoryto ensure that what is needed is on hand. Inaddition,he or she will be responsible for communicating with customers regarding the status of their orders, and any other issuesor questions they might ask.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors parts inventory and reports discrepancies to Parts Manager
• Updates customers on all current promotions and promotes all new products
• Monitors retail zone and replenishes stocking levels of products on display and reports out of stock products in the retail zone immediately tothe Parts Manager
• Maintains professional appearance of the retail zone
• Greets walk-in customers in a friendly manner and acknowledges their presence if they are on a phone call
• Assists customers with pickup of heavy or oversized products when necessary
• Collects payment for special order parts prior to ordering
• Advises customers on warranty of products
• Exhausts all resources to fulfill customer demand
• Records lost sales when customer demand cannot be filled
• Advises customers about any back orders or delays to their orders
• Contacts customers when their order has been received
• Ensures customer accounts are invoiced accurately
• Attends all department meetings and huddles on time
• Locate parts and accessories and arrange for pick-up, delivery and or installation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories and promotions
• Maintain personal work area in a clean and organized manner
• Monitor parts inventory and maintain storage area in good condition
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school or GED required
• Previous work experience in related fields preferred
• Working knowledge of the industry
• Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain composure during high stress situations
