Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Comfort with computer systems, maps and incident data.
• Fire dispatch training or relevant coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and document reports of fires, rescues, alarms, and hazards.
• Verify incident locations and access information.
• Alert stations and dispatch apparatus using approved assignments.
• Monitor radio channels, unit status, and incident updates.
• Relay information about occupants and changing conditions.
• Coordinate mutual aid and record dispatch times and movements.
