Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years as Installation Firefighter Supervisor or six years firefighting experience with two years in a supervisory role and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Special Certifications: Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor II, Airport Firefighter, Hazmat Ops, Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Incident Commander as per IFSAC/NPQS.
• Active motor vehicle license and Class B PA CDL required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage fire station operations and oversee staff activities.
• Develop and review procedures, goals, and mission objectives to improve performance.
• Direct personnel and actions during fires, crashes, and emergencies.
• Develop training programs and ensure firefighters meet certification requirements.
• Determine proper equipment usage, select resources, and recommend new purchases.
• Perform performance reviews, approve leave, manage staffing, and mentor staff.
