Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two consecutive years of service in the Fire Lieutenant classification on the examination date.
• Must possess and maintain current EMT, Firefighter II, and Fire Safety Inspector certifications.
• Valid driver's license at time of appointment and thereafter.
• Must be approved as Ladder Driver/Operator by the Dayton Fire Department prior to the exam posting date.
• Promotional qualifications require current employment in the Dayton Fire Department.
