Job summary

Firematic in Rocky Hill, CT is seeking an experienced Fire Apparatus & Emergency Vehicle Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and EMS vehicles. You will work on trucks and related equipment, applying hands-on mechanical skills that support safety.

We value a self-starter with a positive attitude; CDL B with Air Brakes (or ability to obtain within a year), diesel knowledge preferred, and ASE/EVT certifications are a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL B with Air Brakes or be able to obtain within 1 year.
• Diesel engines knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with current maintenance practices for automotive/truck/equipment.
• ASE and/or EVT certifications are a strong plus.
• Self-starter with a positive, can-do mindset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles.
• Work on automotive, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks.
• Service Fire and EMS vehicles, small gas engines, and supporting equipment.
• Apply hands-on mechanical skills that directly impact safety and performance.
