Job summary

Bay Alarm Company is seeking a field technician to inspect and test fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation and NFPA compliance. You will adjust or repair malfunctioning systems and perform sprinkler inspections as required by California regulations.

The role includes coordinating with the fire department to avoid false alarms during tests and communicating test results to customers. No experience is required, with 1–2 years of experience preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• 1-2 years experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years post high-school education preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
• Final applicant will need to have the ability to pass a pre-employment screening process.

Responsibilities

• Inspect system response.
• Coordinate with fire department to avoid response to test.
• Repair system if necessary or inform Service Department of customer needs.
• Inform Service department of customer needs.
• Advise customer of test results.
• Perform sprinkler inspection service, as required by California Code Regulations, Title 19.
• All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Education
