Job summary

Western States Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Alarm & Detection Technician in California to install, service, and maintain fire alarm and life-safety systems. You’ll work on-site, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with NFPA codes while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior Fire Alarm Service Experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and use reporting software.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot fire alarm systems and components.
• Program dialers for monitoring and test lines.
• Perform moves, adds, relocations for systems and devices.
• Complete service reports using computer or iPad.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers and contractors.
• Read blueprints and interpret code requirements.
• Train apprentices on procedures and installation techniques.
• Ensure work complies with NFPA and company standards.
