Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a hands-on installer helper to support lead installers and foremen in the service and installation of fire detection and alarm systems, security and access control, and other life-safety systems across commercial buildings.

You will work on low-voltage components, drill and route wiring, pull cables, mount panels, and test all devices to ensure safe, compliant operation. Some overtime may be required as part of project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. 1–2 years of construction-related experience preferred.
• Basic installation experience or education/training with alarm/security systems or other electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of low-voltage components (smoke detectors, pull stations, video cameras, door contacts).
• Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, etc.
• Feed or pull cables through access holes, roof spaces, wall cavities, conduit, j-hooks, bridle rings, etc.
• Mount and connect control panels; set device addresses and adjust sensitivity as needed.
• Test circuits and sensors to ensure proper operation of power, devices and annunciators.
