Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an entry-level installer helper to assist Lead Installers and Foremen with life-safety systems installation in new and existing buildings across Florida. You will drill, pull cables, and mount panels under supervision, gaining hands-on experience with low voltage components.

Responsibilities include assisting with wiring, testing, and ensuring proper device function, while maintaining safety and teamwork with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of construction-related experience preferred.
• Basic installation experience or education/training with alarm or security systems or other electrical systems.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of low voltage components such as smoke detectors, pull stations, video cameras, door contacts, etc.
• Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, etc.
• Feed or pull cables through access holes, roof spaces, wall cavities, conduit, j-hooks, bridle rings, etc.
• Check wiring, install raceway, equipment and special boxes, and assist with final connections and testing.
• Mount and fasten control panels; adjust sensitivity or addresses of devices.
• Test and repair circuits and sensors per wiring and system specs.
• Test batteries, keypad and annunciator programming, notification appliances, and security features.
