Job summary

DataField Technology Services is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician for a six-month contract-to-hire position. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial fire alarm systems with regional travel in Columbus, Dayton, and Lima.

Ideal candidates have electrical background and NICET Level III or IV certifications. Training at the Lima, Ohio facility is provided, and a company vehicle with a fuel card is offered upon hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial installation or maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• NICET Level III/IV certification preferred for experienced candidates.
• Willingness to complete initial and ongoing training in Lima, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial fire alarm systems per safety standards and codes.
• Travel regionally between client sites in Columbus, Dayton, and Lima for field service/installation tasks.
• Use power tools safely to perform installation tasks with precision.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand layouts and specs.
• Provide field service support, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues during installations or maintenance visits.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely project completion with high quality.
• Occasionally travel overnight within Ohio with advance notice.
