Job summary

NextGen Technologies is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our Savannah-area service crew in Pooler, GA. You will install, service, inspect, and program commercial fire alarm systems from major vendors and run service calls.

You will troubleshoot panels, devices, NACs, and IDCs/SLCs, perform NFPA 72 inspections, read prints, and coordinate with AHJs for acceptance tests. A strong low-voltage foundation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on commercial fire alarm experience.
• NICET II preferred. Not required. We'll pay for you to get it.
• Solid low-voltage fundamentals (conduit, terminations, schematics).
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, inspect, and program commercial fire alarm systems (Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, etc.).
• Run service calls. Troubleshoot panels, devices, NACs, IDCs/SLCs.
• Perform annual inspections and testing to NFPA 72.
• Read prints, pull permits, work clean, document the job.
• Coordinate with the AHJ on acceptance tests.
