Job summary

NextGen Technologies is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our Savannah-area service crew. If you can troubleshoot a panel, complete an NFPA 72 inspection, and work independently, we want to talk.

Responsibilities include installing, servicing, inspecting, and programming commercial fire alarm systems, running service calls, and coordinating with AHJs on acceptance tests. Must have 5+ years of hands-on fire alarm experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on commercial fire alarm experience (3+ years considered for the right candidate).
• NICET II preferred, not required; employer will pay for certification.
• Solid low-voltage fundamentals (conduit, terminations, schematics).
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, inspect, and program commercial fire alarm systems (Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, etc.).
• Run service calls and troubleshoot panels, devices, NACs, and IDCs/SLCs.
• Perform annual inspections and testing to NFPA 72.
• Read prints, pull permits, document the job, and keep work area clean.
• Coordinate with the AHJ on acceptance tests.
