Job summary

PowerComm Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our Reno, Nevada office. The role involves installing, testing and commissioning commercial fire alarm systems, troubleshooting, and communicating with customers.

Requirements include 3–5 years of experience, Nevada Fire Alarm License and NICET Level 2 preferred. Experience with Edwards EST systems is a plus; on-call after hours may be required.

Qualifications

Experience installing, programming, commissioning, testing and maintaining commercial fire alarm systems.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Willing to be on-call after hours for emergencies.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and manuals to install and commission fire alarm systems.
Oversee and ensure proper completion of assigned work.
Diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm systems across brands and complexities.
Coordinate with AHJ, contractors and end users to meet code requirements.
Communicate system performance to customers and end-users.
