Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, a leading HVAC contractor in Montana, seeks a Fire Alarm Technician I to install, service and repair fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial sites. You will troubleshoot, document work, and support project teams while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, system inspections, and site communications; travel statewide and participate in on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience with installation and wiring of low-voltage systems.
Solid understanding of electrical principles including AC/DC theory and Ohm's Law.
Proficient in alarm systems, low-voltage wiring, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems and wiring.
Work independently on varied tasks at job sites.
Document completed work and submit time entries.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
Troubleshoot system issues to ensure reliability.
Travel across Montana as required.
Participate in on-call duties.
