Job summary

Guardian Fire Protection Services, LLC in Rockville, Maryland, is hiring Apprentices for the Fire Alarm division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing trade and work toward becoming a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.

You will train on various alarm systems, handle hands-on installation and service tasks, and be supported as you study for certification. The role offers hourly pay, possible bonuses, and a path to long-term employment with strong safety and customer-service commitments.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license with 3 or less points.
• Three years of licensed driving experience.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shift when needed.
• Capable and willing to learn and study alarm systems to pass tests and become certified.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12 ft and on lifts.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work overhead and in tight spaces; communicate clearly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support the Fire Alarm division while working toward certification.
• Explain work to customers and document service performed.
• Maintain and process service tickets and required documents for each service performed.
• Be flexible for varied hours, nights, mornings and weekends.

About The Opportunity

Guardian Fire Protections is currently hiring Apprentice for the Fire Alarm division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing and in demand trade. We will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Alarm Technician.

We are looking for hard working and hands‑on individuals that want to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry. The fire protection industry is in high demand and it can be a long term career that with training, certification and years of quality hard work.

Compensation

• This is an Hourly position and the pay rate is contingent experience and background. It will be discussed during the interview process.
• Potential Quarterly Bonuses
• All hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am, paid at the time and half rate for every day of the week

• Ability to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
• Skills to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
• Skills to write well and be very detailed in your write up on service work.
• Must be well organized and be able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.
