Job summary

Guardian Fire Protection Services, LLC is seeking an Experienced Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect, repair, and replace fire extinguishers and emergency lights for customers across multiple regions from our Rockville headquarters.

You will prepare accurate service tickets, communicate with customers, maintain van stock, and adhere to safety rules. Must have prior extinguisher maintenance experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Prior experience performing fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver's license with minimal points.
• Three years of licensed driving experience are required.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Comfortable working on ladders and lifts, and in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance and installation on fire extinguishers and emergency lighting for customers.
• Prepare accurate and timely inspection and service reports.
• Communicate with customers about work and required repairs.
• Maintain van stock and keep it organized, adhering to safety rules.

About the Opportunity

Guardian Fire Protection Services is currently seeking an Experienced Fire Extinguisher Technicians. Job duties include inspecting, repairing and replacing Fire Extinguishers and emergency/exit lights, as well as preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.

Compensation

• Salary - Paid per hour and is based on experience. Will discuss during the interview.
• Potential Quarterly Bonuses
• All hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am, paid at the time and half rate for every day of the week

Job Duties

• Perform inspections, maintenance and installation on fire extinguishers and emergency lighting for established customers on a scheduled basis
• Prepare accurate and timely inspection and service reports
• Must be able to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
• Maintain van stock quantities of equipment and keep it in a neat and orderly manner and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience performing fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance
• A current valid driver's license with 3 or less points is required.
• Three years of licensed driving experience is required.
• Experience using a variety of hand tools.
• Willing to work varied hours, early morning and weekend shift when needed.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs, to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
• Skills to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
• Skills to write well and be very detailed in your write up on service work.
• Must be well organized and be able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.
